FAQ
01Is this gambling?
No. SneakerGuess is skill-based price guessing โ closer answers earn more Kicks. No loot boxes, no random draws, no wagers. Decoy prices in Casual mode are spread wide enough that random tapping won't farm rewards.
02Is it free? What's the catch?
Free to play. We monetize through brand partners and ads โ never pay-to-win. Every Kicks payout you earn is real and redeemable in the Shop.
03How does scoring work?
Each round, you guess what the sneaker resells for. The closer your guess is to the real market price, the more Kicks you earn. Perfect guesses get a bonus. Way-off guesses still score a little if you're in the ballpark.
04What's the difference between Classic, Duel, and Casual?
Classic: type the price, 10 rounds ร 10s, full Kicks payout. Duel: 1v1 head-to-head, 7 rounds ร 10s, full payout. Casual: pick from 4 prices (no typing), 10 rounds ร 8s, half Kicks payout โ built for newcomers.
05Where do the sneaker prices come from?
Public resell market data โ primarily StockX and similar aggregators. We update prices regularly so the game reflects current market reality.
06How do I cash out Robux, V-Bucks, or StockX credit?
Stack Kicks by playing โ head to the Shop โ swap Kicks for the reward you want. Codes are delivered instantly. Bigger rewards (real authenticated pairs) need bigger Kicks pools.
07Are the real grail pairs actually real?
Yes. Authenticated pairs are sourced through legit reseller partners (StockX, GOAT, or equivalent) and shipped directly to the winner. We cover authentication and shipping.
08Can I play with friends?
Yes. Create a private room, share the join code with your friends, and play together. Friends list + invites are rolling out as we ship the social layer.
09Can I host my own room?
Yes. You set the rounds (5/10/15), time per round (5/10/15s), brand filter (lock to Jordan-only, Yeezy-only, etc.), public/private visibility, and whether it auto-starts.
10What if I disconnect mid-round?
The round continues without you and you forfeit that round's Kicks. Reconnect and you'll rejoin from the next round. We don't penalize beyond the missed round.
11Can someone cheat by Googling the price?
Rounds are 8โ10 seconds โ not enough time to Google, find StockX, and type back. Plus the resell range can shift weekly, so stale lookups hurt more than help.
12What devices does it work on?
Any modern browser โ phone, tablet, or desktop. A native PWA app is shipping soon so you can install SneakerGuess straight to your home screen with notifications.
13How old do I need to be?
You need to be at least 12 to play, and under-16 players need a parent or guardian to approve account creation. Real-money payouts (StockX credit, grail pairs) require US residency and may have age restrictions per partner.
14Are you affiliated with Nike, Jordan, or StockX?
No affiliation. All sneaker prices are sourced from public resell market data. SneakerGuess is an independent skill game and is not endorsed by Nike, Jordan, Adidas, or any sneaker brand.
